A Faded VoicePosted March 31st, 2009 by bubbles0416
A Faded Voice You don't know me but I know you You are the voice that cries each night A Broken heaart that the world forgot You were searching for light, any light at all You found new friends and a new life All too soon your voice began to fade Your dreams and hopes turned gray Your statue now stands gazed upon by a tree While your friends cry you rest in peace Your voice faded into silence You ended what had only just begun You became another faded voice
You enter the reserve not knowing what to expect. Will I be accepted or rejected; will i even be able to face these people after what has happened? You enter not knowing what to expect but you are greeted with open arms. You're not sure what to say or what to do, all you know is you are here to mourn. The town seems normal like no one has died; you are surprised and a little scared. A little girl tugs on your shirt and says, Did you know the man who died? You hold back your tears and nod yes. She looks at you and says the week has only just begun. You realize that this is everyday life and teen are choosing suicide more then ever before. You turn around to find out where you are. You melt when you find out you are in Eskasoni, Nova Scotia and this is everyday life.
